An implant can be a good solution for patients who are missing a tooth or molar. An implant is an artificial root, usually made of titanium, that is placed in the jawbone. The implant takes over the function of a tooth root.
Implants for click dentures
Implants can be used to place dentures. This is often done if there is insufficient support in the mouth for normal dentures.

Single Implants
Implants can also be used to replace loose teeth. A crown will then be placed on it.
Once the implants have been placed, it will take several months before a crown or denture can be fitted. This is the period during which the implants must grow firmly into the bone. In the case of dentures, a temporary prosthesis is always made. Even if you only have one or two implants placed, you can opt for a temporary solution. A picture is then taken. This way you will not have a hole in your mouth during the healing period. This is often chosen if the implant is placed freely in the front of the mouth.
